Who is a leader?
A leader is a person who helps a group of people
or individuals decide what they want and how to achieve it. They influence the
group or the people to take coordinated action to achieve the desired outcome.
Leadership is
a process of social influence, which maximizes the efforts of others, towards
the achievement of a goal- Kevin Kruse
What differs a Good leader from a regular
leader? The leader’s qualities, Determination, Perspective and his/her conducts
differs one from the other.
Qualities of a good leader
Positive Attitude- Positive attitude in any
leader is the most crucial quality because A- Positivism attracts, it’s a
simple logic if I give you a choice to choose to leader for yourself, one
leader is full of enthusiasm, positivism and motivation and on the other hand a
person who looks dull, is seen giving negative remarks and lacks enthusiasm
completely, whom would you pick? B- Positivism creates productivity- Similarly,
if you choose a positive leader, you will have a positive environment around
where you will be able to think better, come up with creative ideas and of
course perform much better than what you could have performed with a leader
lacking positivism
As the work environment gets to be more
adaptable, assorted and versatile than at any other time in recent memory in
the recent past, pioneers need to adjust to the progressions and see them in a
positive light. It is a trying time for the individuals who like to be in
control and to demonstrate that they have the information to pass on to others,
as the work environment gets to be progressively adaptable. With the right
demeanor, authority today ought to be a more energizing part than any other
time in recent memory.
The defenselessness of pioneers, when they don't
have all the answers, makes them really all the more engaging according to
others on the grounds that they demonstrate their human frailty. Being a decent
pioneer is less about being the most intelligent and all the more about
understanding others and what makes a collaboration together to achieve
arrangements.
Mahatma Gandhi, one of the greatest leaders of
all the times, worked on various issues like decreasing unemployment,
decreasing erosion between individuals and social groups, eliminating the cast
system are some of his great works done for his country. Any clue, why he did
all of this whereas every leader at that time in the country was only focused
on one thing “Independence”? He did so, so that it has a positive and
constructive effect on his people. When his people were not positive about
themselves due to various reasons as poverty, how could have they contributed
towards India’s independence. His positive attitude towards people and their
negative turning into positive, lead to great movements such as “Satyagrah”. It
was a mass movement involving million and millions of people.
Therefore,
Positive attitude in a leader is one of the most important qualities that one
may possess.
